We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Outpatient Neurology team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with a focus on chronic neurological condition management, follow-ups, and preventative care.
You’ll be part of a well-supported practice dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, including migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and cognitive conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments in the outpatient clinic
Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic neurological conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic studies (MRI, EEG, labs, etc.)
Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising neurologists
Provide patient and family education on disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
Coordinate care with other specialties and community resources
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGNP, FNP, or ANP) or Physician Assistant
National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
CT Controlled Substance Registration and DEA
1+ year of neurology, primary care, or internal medicine experience preferred (new grads with neurology clinical rotations welcome)
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
