Erie County Medical Center Corp is an advanced medical center located in Buffalo, NY providing coverage for the eight (8) counties of Western New York, Southern Ontario and Northern PA. ECMCC is verified by ACOS and NYSDOH as a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center with 573 inpatient beds. The medical staff includes over 900 providers representing primary care and over 35 specialty services. ECMCC is the major teaching hospital for the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine with 15 residency and 7 fellowship training programs on campus.
Erie County Medical Center is seeking an Oral Surgeon for this hospital-based position who wishes to work in a collegial environment based on collaboration, mutual respect, trust, and cooperation.
The ECMC OMFS Service Line provides the full complement of oral surgeries – services to patients that are referred from the primary care physicians in our community, patients referred from neighboring communities, and patients from the hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Departments. ECMC has 16 ORs: 12 in the main hospital and 4 located in the Ambulatory Surgery Center on the hospital campus.
Responsibilities include continued development of a strong clinical practice, resident and medical student education, and opportunities for research. Academic appointment available through the Jacobs School of Medicine, University at Buffalo. Successful candidates must possess the ability to cover the clinical breadth of the OMFS service and trauma call.
Compensation and Benefits
*Base rate is not inclusive of productivity and quality incentives that service line specific positions may qualify for in their department. Signing, retention and relocation bonuses may also be available and would also be in addition to base salary compensation. The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting. When determining pay, several factors will be considered including but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
