The successful candidate will work closely with collaborating physician to provide comprehensive care to patients. This role offers diverse responsibilities, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing ED coverage, assisting with operative cases, triaging patient concerns, and managing prescriptions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed for patient care.
- Provide coverage in the emergency department.
- Assist physicians in operative cases.
- Triage and address patient-related clinical questions and concerns.
- Manage prescriptions and medication plans.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure.
- DEA and Controlled Substance License.
- Exceptional patient interaction skills and clinical experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge and experience in orthopedics, particularly in orthopaedic trauma and fracture care/reductions in the ED setting.
