Expected pay for this position is $60.39 - $68.10/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to manage care of the critically ill adult patient.
- Works in collaboration with a physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries, ordering, conducting and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing of pharmacologic agents and treatments, and performing necessary invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies and evidenced based practice.
- Provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy.
JOB SPECIFICS:- The team is looking preferably for anInpatientExperienced Critical Care APN/PA or Fellowship Trained APP to support the Critical Care team at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL!
- Join a strong team ofexisting APPs and MDs
- Will manage multiple critical care sub-specialtiessuch as neuro critical care, trauma and cardiovascular patients
- St. Joseph Medical Center is the Regional ICU Hub receiving a large amount of patienttransfers
- This role will allow for growth, learning and the ability to expand your skill-setto become a better provider
- This role is all inpatient
- This is a variable shift PRN position, 12-hour shifts and coverage as needed.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Certification as APRN or Physician’s Assistant
- Current Licensure in the state of Illinois as an APRN or Physician’s Assistant
- Current Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Two years of critical care patient management experience
- Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to educate family and significant others on care as well as provide emotional support during crisis, deal effectively with physicians and residents, provide training and education to residents, medical students, and nurses.
