Interventional Pain Management Position Available in Pittsburgh, PA
The UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) Pain Medicine Division is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained interventional pain (IP) physician to join a busy comprehensive pain management practice at UPMC East. The University of Pittsburgh-affiliated position presents a great opportunity to join other physicians in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility, inpatient services and pursue research interests, with .4 clinical efforts in pain for FY27, .6 cFTE for FY28 and 1.0 cFTE for FY29. If anesthesia-trained then practicing as an anesthesiologist at UPMC could make the position 1.0 FTE if desired. Competitive compensation includes salary, incentives, benefits, retirement, and malpractice insurance. CME funds $4,110 every fiscal year. Start date July 1, 2026.

The UPMC Division of Pain Medicine is a program of comprehensive research, clinical, and educational components committed to the evaluation and treatment of the entire range of pain, disability, and rehabilitation concerns. The division offers an interdisciplinary team approach that includes dedicated professionals from several different specialties, including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology. This multidimensional treatment approach addresses the complex interaction between biological, psychological, and social factors in the perception and management of pain.
