The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient education. This role will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery and will prescribe medications, perform procedures, and manage chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will also maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
How YOU can Make an Impact:
Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to inmates.
Perform assessments, diagnose, and treat patients, including prescribing medication and ordering appropriate tests.
Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information/history, upholding HIPAA regulations and medical ethics.
Participate in on-call coverage rotation.
Participate in medical activities that foster growth and development for both medical professionals and patient care.
Respect and adhere to the facility's safety, infection control, and operational policies.
Collaborate with medical and correctional staff to ensure smooth operations, resolve issues, and enhance patient care delivery.
What we Ask of YOU:
A current, valid, and unrestricted state license, certification, and/or credential authorizing practice in the applicable clinical role (e.g., APRN, ARNP, CRNP, CNS, PA, etc.) is required.
A current, valid DEA Registration (or willingness to obtain DEA Registration).
Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing healthcare services in a managed care or correctional facility setting is highly desired.
Active CPR/BLS certificate required prior to start date (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guidelines approved).
