Overview:
St. Mary’s Healthcare is actively seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our growing provider network in Amsterdam, NY. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a community-based cardiology program while providing both inpatient consultative services and outpatient clinic care. No interventional cardiology responsibilities are required, allowing for a strong focus on patient-centered general cardiology and continuity of care.

Position Highlights:
- Full-time, hospital-employed position
- Combination of inpatient consults and outpatient cardiology clinic
- No interventional cardiology work required
- Opportunity to help grow and define cardiology services at St. Mary’s

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cardiac conditions
- Conduct inpatient consults and coordinate care for hospitalized patients
- Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac diagnostics
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and specialty providers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in care planning, patient education, and preventive cardiology initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EMR
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts
Qualifications:
Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology; eligible for New York State medical license prior to start date
Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution. completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship
Skills - Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary Range - $475K - $600K (commensurate with experience).
- Competitive compensation package, including base salary + sign-on bonus.
