Gastroenterologist – Colorado Springs, Colorado

About the Position

As part of the Gastro Care Partners family, Peak Gastroenterology Associates (Peak) is the largest gastroenterology practice in southern Colorado. With multiple locations, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospital partnerships across the Colorado Springs area, Peak is a trusted leader in digestive health.

We are seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This opportunity offers a highly competitive compensation package, robust retention incentives, and the ability to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with cutting-edge facilities.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $500,000 – $550,000.

  • Retention Bonus: $150,000 total, paid in $50,000 annual installments over 3 years.

  • Relocation Assistance: Comprehensive support provided.

  • Profits Interest: $250,000 available for highly qualified gastroenterologists.

  • Expedited Partnership Track: With the ability to co-invest in Gastro Care Partners (GCP).

  • Additional Earning Potential: Through research opportunities, teaching, and expanded procedural volume.


Schedule & Practice Structure

  • Ambulatory Surgery Center: 3.5 days per week.

  • Clinic Setting: 1.5 days per week.

  • Call: Shared equitably across the group.

  • Service Lines: Interventional endoscopy and hepatology available.

  • Hospitals Supported: Memorial Central, Memorial North, Penrose, and St. Francis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

  • Perform endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, EGD, and advanced procedures as trained).

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on GI health and prevention.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and primary care physicians to deliver coordinated care.

  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with clinical standards.

  • Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology through CME and participation in research.

  • Contribute to teaching opportunities, if desired.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold best practices in patient safety.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.

  • Fellowship-trained and Board-Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology.

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Colorado.

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.

Preferred:

  • Prior outpatient practice experience.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
