Job Description

Erlanger Health is seeking an exceptional Hospitalist to join their growing team. Hospitalists/Nocturnists with a passion for patient care and equally impressive clinical competence should apply. Responsibilities include managing patient care, coordinating with other healthcare team members, and providing care for patients during overnight shifts. This also includes performing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting test results, and making treatment decisions. 

Education, Training, & Experience

  1. MD or DO degree
  2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  3. Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee

Hospitalist Program Overview

  1. 12-hour shifts with a mix of 2pm-2am (swing shift) or 6pm-6am (nocturnist/navigator) shifts
  2. Average 13–15 shifts per month with opportunity for more
  3. 24 hour in-house critical care support and coverage 
  4. Floor call covered by Nocturnist APPs
  5. 5 CME Days per year + 10 PTO Days per year
  6. Full Specialist Support
  7. No responding to codes/rapid response
  8. No procedures are required
