Local Team Collaboration:
- Join this 151-bed state-of-the-art community hospital and regional referral center with a full range of cardiovascular services at St Helena Hospital.
- The strength of the CV program includes interventional vascular stenting, TAVR, and ECMO.
- There is a 12-bed ICU. Our ICU is unique in that we are a small community hospital in the Napa Valley; however, since we are a referral center, our acuity is high.
- 75% of admissions are transfers to St Helena from a helicopter or an ambulance. St Helena has at least one open-heart surgery per day, often two, based on Monday to Friday surgeries.
- Phenomenal leadership and collegial working environment. The ICU Medical Director also serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
- A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
- An active California medical license is preferred.
- Experience managing complex cardiac patients is preferred.
Scheduling:
- Block schedule.
- There is one intensivist in-house during the day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. That same intensivist takes night call from home from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Housing is provided on the hospital campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform all technical skills in the critical care setting.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
