Job Description:

The Virtual Urgent Care (VUC) EM Physician provides care to Cityblock members as part of our innovative care model. They work on the Mobile Integrated Care team which operates 24/7 virtual urgent care and can deploy Community Care Clinicians (typically paramedic, EMT, RN, or MA trained) to members’ homes in response to urgent member clinical and behavioral needs. The VUC Physician, together with our team of virtual emergency medicine PAs/NPs, develops treatment plans and addresses acute needs via phone or video, and must be able to deploy our Community Care Clinician ED at Home field team to implement assessment and treatment at the member’s home. They are responsible for collaborating with and overseeing advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) during virtual visits, working closely with the Community Care Clinicians to plan next steps, as well as closing the loop with the member’s primary care team.

This role operates in rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

20 Hours per week

Preferably 3 or more of the following state licenses:

Il, IN, MI, OH, NY, MA NC, FL

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited medical college (within the United States/Canada) or from an unaccredited medical college (outside of the United State/Canada).

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
