Job Description: In October 2022, Intermountain Sports Medicine - Intermountain Health became the official medical provider for the Woodward Park City, a year-round training and development center for winter sports. This is a strategic partnership for our sports medicine & performance, orthopedic, and community youth engagement; providing onsite care (nurse, athletic trainer) and care navigation for the thousands of developmental winter athletes in Wasatch Back and SL Valley. As the official provider, we have exclusive access to the coaches, parents and athletes while on-site at Woodward; our strategies are to educate and prevent injuries, train on proper performance techniques and nutritional/psychological elements of sport, and when needed we direct care to provider and services. This position of Medical Director is vital to ensuring best care standards are met and to a successful joint partnership with Woodward. Minimum Qualifications
Medical Director and Oversight to Care Team . Physician will assist IHCHS in providing Medical Director and oversight services to Woodward Park City on behalf of IHCHS. Physician will assist in setting care standards, safety measures and strategic direction in conjunction with IHCHS and Woodward Park City. Physician and Woodward Park City will review and update the services when necessary and will review the standards and safety measures with Woodward Park City on at least an annual basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Current professional Licensed in Utah either Emergency Medicine or Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine.
At least 2 years of experience working with winter sports teams and organizations
