Family Medicine Physician Job at Defense Health Agency Medical Civilian Corps in North Carolina

As a Practical Nurse you will:- Prioritize procedures based on the guidelines and use judgment in selecting the most appropriate application of the guidelines based on the patient's condition and previous instructions. - Administer oxygen, IV fluid and prescribed oral, rectal, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications to assigned patients. - Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for the clinic. - Educate patients and/or family/guardians/caretakers on requirements for care and medications. - Review laboratory results and bring abnormal results to attention of physician on duty. - Take all vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length) for assigned patients. - Assist the physician with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.
