As a Physician Pediatrician you will:Duties - Serve as a Physician (Pediatrics) in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), responsible for direct patient care and education in the field of Pediatric and Newborn Medicine performing duties in the Pediatrics Clinic, Inpatient Ward, and Newborn Nursery. - Inpatient and outpatient coverage may vary based on patient demands and clinic needs - Evaluate and treat acute and chronically ill patients, arranging admissions and follow-up care post hospitalization as needed - Order laboratory tests and x-rays necessary to complete diagnosis, and correlate results obtained with the clinical findings. - Prescribe and administer treatment, diet, and other corrective action for ambulatory patients. - Provide inpatient care to include the evaluation and admission of patients from the emergency department, other clinics, and outside facilities to include direct admissions. - Provide oversight to medical students, interns, and residents and other health care providers as assigned on the inpatient ward and newborn nursery. - Serve as consultant to nurses on problems related to well childcare and preventive pediatrics.
