Job Description

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking BE/BC Emergency Medicine physicians to join our expanding and thriving Regional Team in Middle Tennessee. We are looking for highly motivated, patient-centered, and team-oriented clinicians who are passionate about delivering high-quality care in a community setting. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily provide clinical care at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital (VTHH), however clinical time may also be included at Vanderbilt’s other regional hospitals, including Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital (VBH) and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH)
  • Clinical effort is based on 1440 hours annually (120 hours/month)
  • Collaborate with Vanderbilt University Medical Center specialists for streamlined patient transfers and continuity of care
  • Engage in professional development and educational opportunities available to all VUMC faculty

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Interest in community-based emergency medicine
