Atrium Health, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Director, Infection Prevention Physician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a unique opportunity to lead infection prevention efforts within one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country.
Position Highlights
- Leadership Role: Direct infection prevention strategy across outpatient (Kenilworth) and inpatient (Cabarrus) settings.
- Balanced Workload: 30–50% clinical care and 50–70% infection prevention leadership.
- Team Collaboration: Lead multidisciplinary teams and guide data-driven interventions.
- Academic Opportunity: Academic title and track available through Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
- Technology-Enabled Practice: EPIC EMR and DAX Copilot streamline documentation.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with weekend call coverage.
- Visa Sponsorship: H1B visa sponsorship available.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Infectious Disease
- Training or experience in Epidemiology/Infection Prevention
- 1–3 years in an Infection Prevention role preferred (not required)
