Infectious Disease Physician

Schedule: One Week On / One Week Off (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
Model: Hybrid (Inpatient & Outpatient)
Location: University Hospital + Satellite Community Hospitals

We are seeking a highly motivated Infectious Disease Physician to join our expanding team in a hybrid role that combines inpatient consults with outpatient clinic care. Enjoy a one week on / one week off schedule, promoting an excellent work-life balance while engaging in meaningful, high-impact work.

 

Role Highlights:

  1. Provide inpatient ID consultations and follow-ups during your week on
  2. Conduct afternoon outpatient clinics during that same week
  3. Round on new inpatient referrals after clinic hours
  4. Collaborate closely with hospitalists, specialists, and primary care teams
  5. Contribute to infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
  6. Help develop and expand a growing ID program, including strategic planning and quality improvement

 

Qualifications:

  1. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease

 

Academic & Development Opportunities:

  1. Teaching: Engage in mentoring residents and medical students, and contribute to academic activities such as lectures and didactics
  2. Research: Participate in clinical trials or QI projects related to ID, antimicrobial stewardship, or hospital epidemiology
  3. Telemedicine (Future): Opportunity to incorporate virtual visits for outpatient follow-ups or low-acuity consults
