We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto joinour team-orientedHospitalist department at our Academic Health Centerin downtown Indianapolis, IN!
Job Description:
- Full-Time
- 7 AM - 6 PM
- 5 days on, 2 days off / 7 days on, 7 days off
- 100% Inpatient
- Position will be primarily at Methodist Hospital and possibly University Hospital: Opportunity to flex to IU North and IU West
- A variety of adult complex patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Complex patient population
- Coordination of care during daily rounds
- Providing patient and family education
- Assessing patients in the Emergency Department for admission- initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan
- Medicine consults for subspecialtyservices
- Co-Management with multiple subspecialty services including Ortho, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, PVS/CVS, GI, Urology, Nephrology etc.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- ACNP, AGNP, FNPor PA certifications required.
- 1-2 years of Inpatient APP experience stronglypreferred as an NP/PA.
- If NP, would prefer inpatient PCU/critical care nursing experience
