  • Birmingham VA Medical Center Healthcare System's Emergency Department Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Emergency Medicine). Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center.
  • Provide coverage to treat, release, admit or transfer patients with acute medical, psychiatric or surgical needs assigned to the Emergency Department
  • Primary tour of duty will be 12 hour shifts
  • Double physician coverage except on the overnight with resident and APP support during peak hours.
  • Primarily PT 7/8 FTE but some FT positions may be avialable
