Outpatient Track: Purely Outpatient, No Call, No Weekends

Located at CentraCare Health PLAZA Endoscopy Site, Gastroenterology Clinic, and Outreach Locations. 100% outpatient-based practice with a balance of endoscopy, clinic, and outreach opportunities.

Academic & Research Opportunities: Collaborate with the University of Minnesota CentraCare St. Cloud Campus for teaching and research, while engaging with the University of Minnesota GI Division in Minneapolis on advanced educational and research initiatives.

Ideal For: Physicians who prefer structured clinic and procedural work, fostering long-term patient relationships without the demands of hospital coverage.

Pay and Benefits

  1. Salary range: expected minimum $726,000, could be as high as $1,000,000 plus per year, based on production incentive levels achieved
    • Tiered production incentive model
    • 8,435 wRVU (or greater) annually achieves highest tier
    • Premium conversion factor of $86.10 at highest tier
  1. Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Inpatient Track: Purely Inpatient, No Clinic Duties
Located at St. Cloud Hospital Endoscopy Unit & Inpatient Rounding

Focus: Dedicated hospital-based practice covering only inpatient GI consults and procedures—no outpatient clinic duties.

Specialized Support: Work alongside a highly skilled interventional endoscopy team that handles complex cases, so you can focus on general GI consultations and inpatient procedures while ensuring seamless access to tertiary-level interventions.

Tertiary Care & Program Development: Play a role in building a national model for rural tertiary GI care, where complex procedures are delivered locally, avoiding unnecessary patient transfers to urban centers.

Academic & Research Opportunities: Be a part of expanding GI training and research through the University of Minnesota CentraCare St. Cloud Campus, with opportunities for collaboration in postgraduate education and research with the University of Minnesota GI Division in Minneapolis.

Ideal For: Physicians who thrive in a structured, hospital-based setting with a focus on acute care, high-acuity cases, and the challenge of complex inpatient medicine.

GI Hospitalist – Week On/Week Off Schedule
Position Highlights

  • Week On / Week Off Rotation:
  • Enjoy a consistent schedule with one week fully on service followed by one week off, supporting work-life balance.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside a dedicated team of GI professionals committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Night Coverage:  During your on-week, you will be responsible for night call. This is off-premise call, meaning you are not required to remain on-site. However, you may be called in to perform urgent/emergent procedures, scheduled in the OR, that cannot wait until the next day.

Weekend Coverage:  Saturday: Urgent inpatient procedures requiring anesthesia are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Endoscopy unit. Sunday: Emergent procedures are scheduled in the operating room.

Flexibility & Variety: Ideal for those who enjoy seamless transitions between settings, combining structured clinic time with the dynamic nature of inpatient acute care.
