Indiana University Health is seeking aFamily Nurse Practitioneror Physicians Assistantto join our Primary Careteam!
Position Details:
- Full-time, Day Shift
- M-F, 4 or 5 days a week
- 8am-5pm, 36 patient contact hours per week
- No weekendsor call
- Expected patient volume is 70-90/week
- This is afloat position. We are ideally looking for a candidate that can float to our West Indianapolis positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
- Developtreatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
- Orderand adjustmedication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
- Directthe development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
- Assist in the assessment of the clinicals nurse's performance and validates clinical competencies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
- Perform minor office procedures
Qualifications:
- FNP or PA BE/BCrequired
- 1-2 years primary care experiencerequired
