Location: Miles City, Montana.
Steeped in Western history, Miles City remains a true Western town. Founded in 1876, where two rivers, the Yellowstone and Tongue, met, vast stretches of plains and badlands branch out in all directions. Once the horse trading and livestock center of the country, Miles City, population around 8000, still has weekly livestock auctions and, once a year, puts on the Bucking Horse Sale for rodeo stock buyers and breeders. Miles City is proud of the parks, rivers, and historical sites that provide recreational fun and adventure for everyone. The Range Riders Museum is one of the most recognized Old West Museums around. The WaterWorks Art Museum houses works of the premier artists in the country, in the original water works facility of Miles City. The Miles City Academy, formerly the Ursuline Convent, as well as the historic Main Street and Residential Districts, are a draw to the many visitors of Miles City. Outdoor activities in Miles City are abundant. Fishing, hunting, bird watching, rock collecting, golf, or just taking a walk along the river. Mild year-round climate with low humidity with an average winter low of 18 and summer high of 83; Average snowfall is 29. The city of Billings, MT, and Billings Logan International Airport are just 2 hours away, offering non-stop service to 10 major cities.
Healthcare Organization: 25 bed critical access hospital, part of a system of 33 hospitals and about 385 medical clinics
Opportunity: Seeking IM or FM trained Hospitalist Medical Director
* Procedures not required, but intubations and central lines are a plus
* Blocks schedule 7 on/7 off
* 10-hour shifts. Days only, no nights.
* Tele-nocturnists cover nights starting at 5pm
* EMR: Epic
* Work clinically with additional administrative and leadership duties
* Hospitalist experience preferred but will consider strong Chief Resident candidates
Compensation: Competitive salary of around $345,000 + admin stipend and comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. 401k with matching contributions and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
