About this role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider in pediatric emergency medicine, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Our team consists of APPs, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians, Pediatricians, Nursing, and other interdisciplinary staff working in concert with all hospital departments. Primary Children's Hospital is a pediatric, full-service, level 1 Trauma center certified by the American College of Surgeons and serves six Intermountain states. The Emergency Department serves children with acute or chronic illnesses or injuries. The Emergency Department team emphasizes the delivery of expert clinical care, participation in academic research, and sharing educational opportunities. Our team now supports both Primary Children's Salt Lake City and Lehi, Utah campuses.
Full time, the APP will typically be scheduled to work four 9-hour shifts weekly in a random, rotating schedule covering dayshift (8am - 5pm), mid-shift (3pm - midnight), nightshift (5pm - 2am), and overnight shifts (midnight to 8am). Additional four hours per week paid for documentation and project time.

What you'll bring:
Utah license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Utah State Controlled Substance License
Federal DEA Certificate II through V
PALS and BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Prior clinical experience with emergency and pediatric patients is highly valued.
