Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Job at Bon Secours Mercy Health in Toledo, OH

Mercy Health in Toledo, Ohio invites a dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-volume surgical program, where providers work side by side in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Position Highlights
• Hospitals Covered: St. Vincent, St. Anne, St. Charles
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Call Rotation: 1:3 (approx. 10 days/month, including every third weekend)

Role and Responsibilities
• Hospital rounding and consults
• Pre- and post-operative patient management
• Insertion and management of arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
• Coordinating patient care to ensure timely, efficient service while surgeons are in the OR
• Contributing to teaching and training with residents on service

Candidate Requirements
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Ohio
• DEA certification required
• Critical care experience preferred
• Passion for teamwork, excellence, and high-quality patient care

Practice Environment and Support
• Supportive team of cardiothoracic surgeons, APCs, and clinical staff
• Strong mentorship and collaboration from experienced providers
• Well-established practice infrastructure with administrative and clinical support
• Average daily patient volume: 8–12
