Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our growing, independent health system. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Level III Trauma Center within a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Competitive compensation: $320.00 – $325.00/hour

Provide emergency medical care in a busy Level III trauma center
Manage a full range of acute presentations from life-threatening emergencies to minor injuries
Work collaboratively with nursing staff, specialists, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality care and efficient patient flow
Variable shifts; flexible scheduling
Perform patient evaluations, collect medical histories, and conduct thorough physical examinations
Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic testing
Stabilize patients requiring resuscitation and arrange for admission, transfer, or safe discharge
Perform emergency procedures and treatments, including suturing, fracture management, and airway control
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care team members
Provide guidance and clinical oversight to emergency department staff
Medical Doctor (MD or DO), Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
Unrestricted medical license in Oregon (or ability to obtain)
Active Oregon DEA license (or ability to obtain)
Trauma trained; current ACLS, BLS, and ATLS required
Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test aligned with federal drug testing regulations
