Clinical Responsibilities

  • Inpatient Consultations: Comprehensive surgical consultation services for hospitalized patients
  • Outpatient Clinic & Inpatient Consultswill cover 2 ministries.
  • Emergency Coverage: Participation in trauma and emergency surgical care as part of the regional call system
  • Outpatient Services: Clinic-based consultations and follow-up care
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with primary care physicians, specialists, and advanced practice providers

Qualifications

Required

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program
  • Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery
  • Valid Illinois medical license or the ability to obtain
  • Hospital privileges or the ability to obtain

Preferred

  • Fellowship training in relevant subspecialty
  • Experience with robotic surgery platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
