Indiana University Healthis seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner orFamilyNurse Practitionerto join our innovative virtual healthcare team. The selected candidate will provide virtual care visits for our Hosptial and Home program.
Position Details:
- Supplemental, Rotating Shifts
- At least 12 hours every 2 weeks; can be split into 4-, 6- or 12-hour shifts; ideally, one weekend shift every 2 weeks as census requires
- Weekday hours 7am-10pm; Weekend hours 9am-1pm
- 100% outpatient
- Expected patient volume: 50 virtual visits/week
- Leveraging virtual platforms to care for patients requiring acute hospital level care from a virtual provider setting
- Collaborate with the IU Health Emergency Medicine department and/or inpatient disciplines to identify appropriate patients for care and facilitate their transition to home
- Perform virtual admission visits with an in-person nurse using remote physical exam technology and create a customized care plan with individualized goals to determine future readiness for discharge
Practice Location:
- Hybrid schedule - Remote work from home, with training and occasional time spent at our virtual care office in downtown Indianapolis. All care is provided virtually.
Qualifications:
- ACNP or FNP certification required
- BE/BC
- At least 1 year of APP experience required
- Internal or hospital medicine experience is preferred
