UT Health Tyler, a 424-bed Level I Trauma Center, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) specializing in Pulmonology & Critical Care to join its highly skilled team.
Your Work:
- 14 shifts per month
- 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm), 7 on / 7 off
- Up to 12 patients per shift
- No call requirement
- Round on all ECLS and Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) patients, providing high-quality, evidence-based care across UT Health Tyler’s 58-bed ICU (CVICU, Trauma, MICU)
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate patient response to therapy
- Serve as a mentor/resource to nursing staff, residents, fellows, and APPs regarding critical care principles, ECLS, and MCS management
- Facilitate educational sessions and contribute to protocol/guideline development
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety, outcomes, and care delivery processes
