Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery Job at Bon Secours Mercy Health in Portsmouth, VA

Bon Secours Mercy Health Cardiovascular and Thoracic Specialists is interviewing now for a Physician Assistant to assist in pre-operative, intra-operative care of Cardiovascular & Thoracic surgery patients.

• Candidate must be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting.
• Have experience working in ICU and OR settings.
• Must have excellent demonstrated patient care follow up skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and family members.
• Requires minimum of 2 years of experience in the CT Surgery role with vein harvesting procedures. Experienced only.

Job Duties:

• Full Time -Monday- Friday 7am to 3:30pm
• Call Schedule – 1:2
• Care for patients in the OR, ICU and Outpatient Clinic
• Special Skills Training: Must be EVH, OR and ICU trained
• Average Patients per day: Outpatient 1-5, Inpatient 5-10
• Patient Age Range: 18 years and older
• Practice Setting: Hospital based & Outpatient
• EMR: EPIC inpatient and outpatient.
• Practice Support: Supervising surgeon, PA and LPN and staff support.
