Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking to employ a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their Gynecologic Oncology Group on the West Coast of Florida.
Sarasota is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa. The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, world-class beaches, excellent schools, and a wide variety of activities for all ages.
Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, a 901-bed regional medical center, is among the largest acute care public health systems in Florida. Sarasota Memorial's Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute is an 8-story inpatient and surgical Oncology Tower providing patients with the full continuum of modern cancer care — from diagnosis and intervention to survivorship care — under one roof. The Cancer Care tower is a 180,000 square feet building featuring 56 dedicated private suites, 9 operating rooms outfitted with the latest surgical technology, including leading-edge robotic surgical suites with Da Vinci robots.
A new Outpatient Cancer Pavilion is under construction and will open in 2026 with additional radiation oncology, surgical oncology and medical oncology capabilities to facilitate effective multidisciplinary care.
Responsibilities include:
- Join two (2) Fellowship trained Gynecologic Oncologists and one Physician Assistant.
- On staff at one hospital with clinic located on the campus of the hospital.
- Schedule is Monday – Friday – no weekends or Holidays.
- NO CALL REQUIREMENTS
- First and second assisting in the Operating Room.
- Rounding on inpatients, seeing consults and coordinating care of patients in the outpatient clinic.
Requirements:
- Board Certified Physician Assistant and who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years) or has graduated within the last 18 months.
- Must have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
- BLS required.
- DEA license preferred.
