Highlights:
- Full Time, Day Shift
- Flexible 4'10 shift option
- APP will rotate amongst inpatient call/rounding, surgery/rounding, and ambulatory clinic for a week at a time
- 1:1 care model with collaborating Physician, Dr. Bryan Wohlfield
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities - environment will mirror collaborating physician
- Join a collaborative team of 3 Physicians and 3 APPs
- Patient population will include Adult Neurosurgery patients;predominantly neuro-spine
Responsibilities:
- Outpatient Clinic - APP will primarilysee pre and post operative patients as well as new referrals when appropriate. Provider will evaluate, assess, treat and educate patients with physician consultation available when needed. Provider will be responsible for order entry for medications and testing and will follow-up on imaging/tests. APP will be a resource for nurses covering nurse visits and triage.
- Inpatient - Provider will round on new consults and first assist surgeon in the OR. APP will also be first call during day-time hours while on schedule at the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree required
- ACNP, FNP or PA certification required
- 2-3 years of provider experience preferred, but open to highly motivated new graduates
- Backgroundin Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, PM&R or Interventional Pain Management highly preferred
