Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dermatology practice. The PA will work in collaboration with Dr. Daniel HOffman, MD to provide high-quality dermatologic care to patients, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. This role requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, and dermatologic assessments.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, etc.).
Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, incision and drainage, excisions, suturing, and wound care.
Conduct skin cancer screenings and assist with surgical excisions as indicated.
Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education for medical and cosmetic treatments.
Collaborate with supervising physicians regarding complex cases and treatment plans.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and pathology reports.
Prescribe medications within scope of practice and state regulations.
Document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.
Assist in cosmetic dermatology services as trained and credentialed (e.g., Botox, fillers, laser treatments).
Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, OSHA standards, HIPAA regulations, and state licensing requirements.
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current Physician Assistant license in [State].
NCCPA certification required.
Previous dermatology experience preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
Strong interest in dermatology and willingness to learn cosmetic and surgical procedures.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
