Join a highly skilled team providing care for patients with neurotrauma, neurovascular, and neurological diseases (ie. stenosis, brain and spinal cord tumors).
Position Details:
- Full time, Night Shift
- 3 12-hour daysper week (6:00pm-6:30am)
- Rotating weekends
- No call
- 100% inpatient
- Team includes 14physicians and 20APPs
This innovative department provides challenging and rewarding work. Physicians are dedicated to providing value and autonomy to their Advanced Practice Providers and promote a supportive environment for learning. Cohesiveness, communication and critical thinking skills are a necessity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- Patient care coordination
- Ordering diagnostic imaging and labs
- Perform complete neurological exams
- Interpret data and imaging results
- Assist in developing the plan of care for patients
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
- APP Experience in neurosurgery and/or ICU preferred
- If new graduate, clinical rotation and/or clinical rotations in neurosurgery, trauma, or ICU is required
- General knowledge of neurological deficits and disordered highly preferred
