Job Description

UNC Health Medical Group is currently seeking an Urgent Care Medical Director to lead 4 high-performing Urgent Care clinics located in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Pittsboro and West Rockingham, North Carolina. Join a physician - led, mission-driven team!

Financial Package:

Qualifications: 

  • Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine work experience required
  • FM, EM or Med/Peds Residency Training & Board Certification required
  • Leadership experience required

Opportunity Details: 

  1. Mix of clinical and administrative duties
  2. Attend local quality meetings & support quality improvements
  3. Local review/approval of patient discharge requests before submission to Experience Team
  4. Participate in practice provider recruitment & interviews
  5. Attend Medical Director meetings
  6. Review/approve provider PTO requests
  7. Assistance with Physician/APP On-Boarding
  8. Conflict resolution
  9. Monthly provider/team meetings
  10. Attend quarterly financial meetings with Director of Operations & Practice Manager
  11. Quarterly review of practice metrics/templates
  12. Perform annual provider reviews
  13. Confirm appropriate APP supervision in each practice 
  14. Work-Life Balance
  15. Access to a broad scope of specialists within UNC Physicians Network

Schedule:

  1. 8am – 8pm | Sunday–Saturday rotation
