Family Medicine Physician Job at Millbrook Support Services in Tsaile, AZ

Work Schedule:
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Duties:

The Contractor shall perform outpatient family practice duties and work under the general technical administrative supervision of the Tsaile Health Center Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The Contractor shall meet standards as listed in the Federal Code of Conduct. The Contractor shall manage all patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards, Privacy Act, and IHS Service Unit and/or Health Center specific policies and protocols. Responsibilities include conducting patient examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and administering immunizations. The physician maintains accurate and timely documentation in the Indian Health Service’s electronic medical record system (such as CPRS), ensuring compliance with IHS policies, HIPAA regulations, and applicable clinical standards. Care is delivered in collaboration with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and patient-centered treatment. The physician participates in quality improvement activities, clinical staff meetings, and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall performance of the facility.
