CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP) that is comfortable with Pediatrics and adults to provide full-time services at the Medical Treatment Facility – Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity to serve our military members and their families as a civilian contractor in a respected Department of Defense medical setting (no military service required).

Family Health Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:
Provide a full range of outcome-based primary care services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients for routine, acute, and chronic conditions in both adult and pediatric populations (ages 0–17).
Perform minor procedures and treatments including, but not limited to: biopsies (punch/shave), wart removal, suturing, toenail removal, abscess I&D, suture removal, joint injections, Pap exams, IV line placement, wound care, oxygen administration, and specimen collection.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) and specialty referrals.
Prescribe and adjust medications based on patient assessment, age, and needs.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive health, and self-care.
Participate in daily huddles, monthly staff meetings, case discussions, and peer review programs.
Maintain required certifications and complete CEUs and training as mandated by the MTF.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, NPs, PAs, RNs, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Recognize isolation requirements and follow universal precautions for all patient encounters.
Provide coverage for other primary care and women’s health providers as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Family Health/Primary Care Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program.
Certification:
Nurse Practitioner certification by ANCC, AANP, or relevant national nursing certification board.
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross only. ACLS & PALS desired but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years full-time FNP experience in adult primary care & pediatrics, including within the last 6 months working with patients ages 0–1
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted Family Health NP license from any U.S. state or territory.
Authorization to Work: Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S. (per DHS/USCIS definition). DEA Registration: Valid and current if required by the MTF.
