The James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, a nationally recognized VA facility in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Board Certified Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgeon to join our high-performing surgical team. This is an opportunity to serve Veterans while practicing in a major academic teaching hospital with access to advanced surgical technologies and a robust referral base.
Clinical Scope
- Full spectrum adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
- CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery
- Minimally invasive and robotic thoracic procedures
- Transcatheter valve therapies (TAVR)
- Redo cardiac operations
- On-call rotation (shared)
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree and completion of cardiothoracic surgery residency
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
- Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Up to $400,000 annually (based on experience)
- Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Up to $200,000 in student loan repayment
