The Rosebud Hospital is part of the Rosebud Service Unit, serving the Rosebud Sioux (Sicangu Oyate) Tribe, in and around the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. This 35-bed comprehensive medical and surgical hospital is the primary source of healthcare for the Reservation with the mission to raise the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of the Alaska Natives and American Indians to the highest level.

Rosebud Sioux Reservation is located in south-central South Dakota, with large areas of Ponderosa Pines scattered throughout the rolling grasslands and breathtaking valleys. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe, properly known as Sicangu Lakota Oyate, or Burnt Thigh People, are one of seven tribes within the Lakota Nation. The cultural heritage and deep connection to ancestral land can be seen throughout the communities today with programs and projects to preserve the Lakota language and reintroduce buffalo on a large scale back into the Plains.
