Job Description

HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join our newly established GI team in Springfield, Illinois — and we support H-1B visa sponsorship. HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty medical group made up of over 350 providers across 60 clinics throughout central and southern Illinois, inclusive of a robust primary care referral base supporting our GI practices. HSHS Medical Group is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, which is a Catholic, non-profit integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of 13 hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin guided by our mission and grounded in modern best practices.

Position Details:
- Monday – Friday clinic schedule with option of 4 day work week
- 7 days per month of call & inpatient rounds while on call
- Minimal after hours clinic call
- EPIC EMR
- Dedicated support staff
- Endo suite capable of advanced GI procedures

Position Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- M.D., D.O., or MBBS

Pay Range: $700,000
 

Education Qualifications

  • Clinical doctorate is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.

  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.

  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
