BREAST SURGEON
Established, patient-focused Breast Surgery Program is seeking a board certified Breast Surgeon provider to join us at our Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center in pursuit of high quality patient care. We are seeking a Breast Surgeon to provide full scope of breast care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, biopsies, and surgery.
- Monday through Friday office hours with designated OR day
- No general surgery call
- Expect to see 20+ patients per day when fully mature in practice

Qualifications/Expectations:
- Fellowship trained in breast surgery preferred.
- Board-certified or Board-eligible Breast Surgeon.
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment.
- Meet Quality of Care (Quality Measures) and participate in Peer Review.
- Completion/Documentation of EHR/Medical records, coding and signing of charts within the designated time set by the organization.
- Technically skilled to operate medical equipment and tools related to breast ultrasound and breast procedures such as biopsies. Procedures include core biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, excisional biopsy, lumpectomy, and mastectomy.
- Ability to perform in office procedures such as ultrasound core biopsies, cyst aspirations and stereotactic biopsies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies while collaborating with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and others to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Practice evidence-based medicine in a supportive, collegial setting.
- Exceptional Support: Benefit from a dedicated nurse navigator, advanced practice providers a robust support staff and an onsite high-risk genetics clinic.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in care management, clinical standards and procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to insure total delivery of quality care.
- Provide patient education and counseling on treatment options, risks and benefits.
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Education & Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent. Fellowship training in Breast Surgery preferred.
- Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers.
