UNC WAYNE IS HIRING A HOSPITALIST IN GOLDSBORO, NC

UNC Health Wayne is looking for a BC/BE hospitalist to join the growing Hospital Medicine program in Goldsboro, NC. This position involves delivering high-quality, team-based inpatient services. Goldsboro is located one hour east of Raleigh, the vibrant state capital, and 90 minutes from the NC coast. Schedule: 7am-7pm (7days on and 7 days off)

UNC Wayne is a modern facility with 316 Acute Care Beds 120+ year history

· 38 Emergency Beds

· 4 Trauma beds

· 4 Behavioral Health Beds

· 15-Bed ICU

· 8-Bed Labor and Delivery Unit

· 26-Bed Nursery

· 22-Bed Behavioral Health Unit

o Closed ICU

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

· Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school

· Internal Medicine Residency preferred

· BC/BE


Other Information

Education Requirements:
● Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Board Certified Internal Medicine
● DEA;ACLS;MD/DO
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Prefer prior hospitalist experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential in order to diagnose medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
