St. Josephs Healthis seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as Coordinator for our Neonatology Advanced Practice Provider team. This full-time leadership role on a varied shift schedule combines clinical excellence with team coordination, offering a unique opportunity to shape and support a high-performing neonatal care team. As the Neonatal Coordinator, you will provide direct patient care in the NICU while also overseeing team operations, scheduling, training, and performance management. You will collaborate closely with physicians, APP leadership, and administrative teams to ensure efficient, high-quality care and a supportive work environment.
COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITILES:
- Coordinate and oversee APP team activities including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Manage fiscally responsible scheduling and staff time management.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of timecards.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care delivery.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of new team members, including interviews, training, and orientation.
- Monitor performance and provide guidance to enhance clinical skills and professional development.
- Act as a liaison between staff, physicians, and administration to facilitate communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote best practices.
- Stay current with medical advances and disseminate relevant knowledge to the team.
- Conduct routine team meetings to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Work with APP leadership to standardize practices and improve team efficiency.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Coordinator will provide direct neonatal care including:
- Performing history and physical exams, daily rounds, ordering medications and labs.
- Participating in discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Acting as a clinical expert, educator, and liaison within the NICU team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current New York State license
- Experience in Neonatology
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Significant clinical experience in team area with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
RECRUITMENT PACKAGE:
An excellent compensation and benefits package is available for the right candidate.
- Compensation Range: $74,880-$98,704 w/ additional 6-8% stipend for coordinator role
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
