Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Spine (Indianapolis Area)

Job Description

We are seeking aNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join our dedicatedOrthopedic Spine Team in the Indianapolis area!

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Day shift
    • Monday - Friday,
    • Mon-7a-5p, Tues-8-4:430p, Wed- 7a-5p, Thurs-7a-5p, Fri- Rotating
    • Fridays will rotate between OR, clinic and administrative time
    • Call schedule is 1 weekend per month-Rounding on inpatients spine patient at Methodist Hospital, West Hospital, North Hospital and answering questions remotely
  • 50% Inpatient, 50% Outpatient
  • Team includes 2physicians and 2advanced practice providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outpatient Care
    • Conduct initial evaluations, follow ups, and post operative visits
    • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray)
    • Develop and manage treatment plans for spine-related conditions
  • Inpatient Care
    • Perform rounding on post-operative and hospitalized spine patients
    • Assist with discharge planning and documentation
    • Respond to inpatient consults for spine-related issues
  • Surgical Support
    • Assist in the operating room (OR) during spine procedures
    • Provide pre-op and post-op assessments and care

Qualifications:

  • ACNP, AGNP, or PAcertification required
  • APP experience in Surgery preferred, but open to highly motivated new graduates
  • First Assist experience in the OR highly preferred
  • Ortho or surgery experience- APP or through clinical rotations
  • Experience working as an Ortho Spine APP, Experience working as Neurosurgery APP
