About this role:As a Sports Medicine Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Join a progressive multi-disciplinary, integrated team of sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, sports dieticians, sports psychologists, sports physical therapists, exercise physiologists and athletic trainers at Hurricane Valley Clinic in Hurricane, Utah.
The goal for this physician is to help Intermountain Health patients and Southwest Utah community members to live the healthiest lives possible. Our integrated Sports Medicine team uses state-of-the-art techniques, advanced procedures, and innovative therapies to design treatment plans that are customized to our patients' specific needs and address the full continuum of care.
- This position includes a $15,000 starting bonus, and up to $20,000 in relocation assistance
- You will practice at Hurricane Valley Clinic in Hurricane, Utah
- This physician will be the sole sports medicine provider at Hurricane Valley Clinic; partnered with family medicine providers and Physical Therapists at Hurricane Valley Clinic, and an Orthopedic & Sports Medicine team based at St. George Regional Hospital
- You'll will provide athletic competition event coverage to all Hurricane High School sanctioned sports as well as provide collegiate sports coverage for Utah Tech University
- You'll will have ready access to diagnostic equipment and dedicated support staff including medical assistants, athletic trainers, and physical therapists.
- Enjoy large referral base of primary care physicians in Hurricane and surrounding communities

What you'll bring:A successful physician in this position will have a multi-disciplinary approach to providing care, with training and a background in family medicine.
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- ACGME Residency training in Family Medicine
- Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
Strongly Preferred- 5+ years of experience providing clinical sports medicine care
- Advanced skills in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Extensive experience in orthopedic biologics (PRP)
- Experience providing outpatient US guided surgical tenotomy and related procedures
- Leadership experience (Medical Director, Senior Medical Director, etc.)
