OSF Saint Francis Medical Center’s Dental Residency Program isseekinga dedicated and knowledgeable Attending Dentist to join our esteemed teamat the Medical Center’shospital dental clinicin Peoria, IL.

You will play a crucial role in supervising dental residents, reviewing treatment plans, and managing patient care. Our program is committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities for residents, and we are looking for a candidate who shares our passion for education and quality dental care.

Job Specifics
  • Supervise dental residents and provide guidance in their professional development, primarily in the hospital clinic setting.
  • In collaboration with residents and hygienists, develop,review and approve patient treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of residents' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in didactic/educational sessions to enhance residents' knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiencyinallareas ofgeneraldentistry, particularly(or especially)basic oral surgeryand management of the medically complex patient.
  • Comfortably treat patients in an operating room (OR) setting
  • Participate in on-call duties alongside residents.

  • Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $185,000-$217,000.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations.Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

Requirements
  • DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental School.
  • Have (or be eligible to obtain) State of Illinois Dental License, Controlled Substance License, and DEA License.
  • Preferably have completed GPR/AEGD or military dentist training.
  • Experience working with emergency cases in a hospital setting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using dental technology and software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
