IU Health Physiciansis seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hem/OncInfusion teamat Indiana University WestHospital in Avon, IN!
Position Details:

- 90% Outpatient
- 10% Inpatient
- No weekends or call
Key Responsibilities:
Infusion Center
- Serve as the lead APP for managing infusion-related clinical issues, including hypersensitivity and anaphylactic reactions.
- Provide real-time clinical support and decision-making for infusion nurses.
- Collaborate with pharmacy and nursing to ensure safe, efficient delivery of systemic therapies.
Same Day Clinic (SDC)
- Evaluate and manage acute symptoms and complications in established oncology patients.
- Perform urgent assessments, order diagnostics, and initiate treatment plans in coordination with primary oncology teams.
- Reduce unnecessary emergency department utilization through timely interventions.
Rapid Diagnostic Clinic (RDC)
- Lead the development and implementation of a new RDC at this facility, modeled after successful APP-run RDCs at IU North and University Hospitals.
- Evaluate and work up patients referred for suspected malignancies using expedited diagnostic pathways.
- Coordinate imaging, labs, and specialty referrals to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate across inpatient and outpatient teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide cross-coverage for APP colleagues during scheduled PTO.
- Participate in tumor boards, quality improvement initiatives, and academic activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support billing compliance.
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
- NP/PA graduate with oncology experience
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across department and facilities
