Position Overview:
Rapides Regional Medical Center, a 300-bed acute care facility in Alexandria, Louisiana, is seeking a full-time Critical Care Intensivist to join our established ICU team. This position offers a block schedule, strong APP support, and full subspecialty backup in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Employed by Inhospital Physicians, the role includes competitive compensation, full benefits, and J1 visa sponsorship.
Position Highlights:
Hospital: Rapides Regional Medical Center (part of HCA Healthcare)
ICU Beds: 34-bed medical/surgical ICU
Schedule: Block scheduling with rotating day and night shifts
Coverage Model:
Day: 2 Intensivists + APP support
Night: 1 Intensivist + APP
Required Procedures:
Central/arterial line placement
Ventilator management
Intubations
EMR: Meditech with voice dictation
Collaborative Environment: Close coordination with hospitalists and full specialty support including pulmonology, cardiology, surgery, and more

Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
