Clinical Infectious Diseases and Infection Prevention

Job Description

Indiana University Health is seeking an Infectious Diseases physician to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN. This position includes a 50% Infection Prevention Directorship for our Indianapolis suburban hospitals, with the remaining 50% for general ID clinical consultative service. The position includes a faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine and inclusion in the academic IU School of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases.

Position Details:

  • Full time Monday Friday, one weekend per month
  • 50% Clinical Practice
    • 23 weeks per year ofinpatient consultative service
    • 4 hours per week outpatient clinic
    • Inpatient Practice Locations
      • IUH North
      • IUH West
      • IUH Fishers
      • Orthoindy Locations - Northwest Hospital & Greenwood Hospital
      • Franciscan Health Mooresville, Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital, and Franciscan Health Indianapolis
  • 50% Infection Prevention Directorship
    • IU Health North
    • IU Health West
    • IU Health Fishers
  • Overnight call once per week
  • 6 weeks of vacation during 2-year guarantee period
  • Cover one holiday per year
  • Eligible for IU School of Medicine benefits

Qualifications:

  • Infectious Diseases fellowship, required
  • Infectious Diseases BE/BC, required
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
