Join a respected, private physician group in Hickory, NC. We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to serve as Medical Director and attending for our inpatient rehab unit. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead clinical efforts while working in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment focused on patient-centered outcomes.
Position Highlights
- Serve as attending physician for inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Monday–Friday daytime schedule, 40-hour workweek
- Oversee admissions, discharges, consults, and daily progress notes
- Average daily census of 16 patients, max of 20 beds
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and family conferences
- Collaborate with the Program Director to oversee clinical performance and quality metrics
Qualifications
- Required:
- MD or DO with an unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina
- Valid CAQH profile
- Eligible to treat Medicare and Medicaid patients
- Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with physical, occupational and speech therapy teams
