Primary Care Opening in New Milford, Connecticut (85 miles from New York City)

Primary Care at New Milford Hospital, a part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a Primary Care Physician at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT (85 miles from NYC and 14 miles north of Danbury) to start in the Summer or Fall 2026. It is a highly regarded and well-established practice with limited on call obligations. You will work with 6 Providers (Physicians and Nurse Practitioner colleagues). We have a busy, established practice in a family-friendly location. This practice sees patients ages 18+.

This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match and contribution. Hiring bonus and relocation stipend may also be available.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This is a full-time, office-based position providing outpatient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

Job Requirements:

  • MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
  • Have successfully completed a Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Residency.
  • Experienced Primary Care Physicians and new grads Residents are welcome to apply, Chief Resident experience preferred for possible leadership role
  • Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
  • Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only, with nurse triage

Salary range: $275,000-$285,000 annually commensurate or relative to experience
